Dr. John Schuler

Originally from the Chicago suburb of Worth, Dr. Schuler attended Northern Illinois University, where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in biology. He attended Loyola University of Chicago’s School of Dentistry, again graduating Cum Laude in 1983 with a doctorate in dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Schuler served as a general dental officer with the United States Air Force. After his service in the Air Force, Dr. Schuler maintained a private dental practice in Fort Myers, Florida. In 1991 Dr. Schuler attended the University of Louisville, completing a specialty residency in orthodontics in 1993 with a Master of Science degree. He joined Drs. Grimm and Arkwell in 1993.

Dr. Schuler has been published extensively in orthodontics, with numerous scientific articles in various publications. He also teaches as an associate professor of orthodontics at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Schuler and his wife Kathy have two children, Ryan and Lauren. He loves outdoor hobbies, including flying, hunting and fishing.
